Vocal Coaching

For me, singing is a natural thing, every voice wants to sing,
the only thing that is keeping us from doing it is ourselves.

I work on a very individual way, every voice and body has a different personality, colour, potential.

I will find the way that works best for you.
Technique is important, it can preserve your voice and make it stronger.
The personal touch, to add emotions, makes the voice and the melodies more free.

As a vocal coach/singing teacher I had the privilege to work with voices of all ages.

Children (starting age 4), By playing games we discover our instrument, we learn what it is to sing high or low, how we can breathe in the right way, how we can sing on the right pitch and, above all: how we can enjoy this process!

Teenagers, I taught for several years at MUDA Gent, where teenagers come to prepare for bachelor/master programs. Teenagers go through a big change, their voices change, their feelings change and if they learn a healthy way of using their voice at this age, they have good foundations for the future. Many of my students now (almost) have a master's degree and are working at a professional level. ( references; Liza Dedapper, Marion Bauwens, Marnie Deweer, Emma Posman, Thibaut Lecluse, and more)

Adults, I teach adults of all levels, from beginners to professionals.
I find it very important to have a healthy way of singing, so the voice sounds free and true to the instrument.
My motto is : When it hurts or you feel it, it’s wrong.
That is also the way I try to sing myself, as relaxed and natural as possible.

Group coachings, I have a lot of experience in coaching groups (choirs, ensembles, colleagues, as teambuilding)

We can work on technique, interpretation, repertoire, lessons can be in Dutch, English and basic French.
